Audineh Asaf is an interdisciplinary artist of Iranian-American heritage based in Seattle. She creates mixed media works using hybrid methods of drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, photography, and textile arts. Since the 2022 Woman Life Freedom uprising in Iran, Asaf has focused on amplifying the voices of the Iranian people risking their lives for fundamental rights.
Asaf has exhibited widely across North America. Her work has been presented in academic institutions, including the Jacob Lawrence Gallery at the University of Washington (Seattle), Gallery II at Washington State University (Pullman), and the S. Tucker Cooke Gallery at the University of North Carolina (Asheville). Exhibitions at contemporary art spaces include the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art (Santa Ana), Culture Lab LIC (Queens), Woman Made Gallery (Chicago), Gallery 4Culture (Seattle), and CityScape Community ArtSpace (Vancouver, BC). Her work has also been featured in the SAQA Special Exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show, Shunpike’s Storefronts Program (Seattle), and Strand for Women 2025 at Atelier Jolie (New York).
Asaf holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from Goddard College and a BA in Interdisciplinary Visual Art from the University of Washington. She received the 2022 Future Art Award from Mozaik Philanthropy and a 2023 Fellowship from the Robert B. McMillen Foundation. She currently serves as a faculty member and Chair of the Art Department at Edmonds College.
